New Brunswick show

USA Seconds Out Tour blog - City Delights and Fiery Nights - December 2022

On our arrival in the USA, we first headed for New York, where Jo and I had friends to meet and the boys had their own plans... Always great to be "back in New York City!" It has a strong vibe of its own every time.

The following morning we all headed off to New Brunswick for the first USA show, which went off like a rocket heading for Mars! The other three USA shows in Tarrytown, Glenside and Patchogue were equally amazing with the most fantastic reactions. By the time Shadow of the Hierophant arrived, everyone was ecstatic and the crowd excitement built to a crescendo as Seconds Out came into its stride!

Tarrytown always has a charm all its own with its picturesque shops and link to Sleepy Hollow with its headless horseman story. The theatre there is reputed to be haunted and a ghostly figure has often been spotted...

We enjoyed staying in Philadelphia for the Glenside show and to see pals there on the day off.

Then finally, we enjoyed the low key atmosphere of Patchogue on Long Island, contrasting with the explosive vibe at the show that night!

What a fantastic tour it's been... My thanks to Nick D'Virgilio for taking on the drum chair with great style, vigour and musicality, to the rest of the band for their equally amazing performances, to the crew for all their unending hard work, and to Adrian Holmes, Brian Coles and Wayne Forte with his Entourage Talent team for pulling everything together.

It's been a joy to play again this year in North America and I look forward to returning as soon as possible!
