Northern Nights and London Delights

Having played in the South, West and East, we started to head North, first stops…

Leicester, Birmingham and Nottingham, which all had a great vibe. Birmingham felt particularly special as Mum was able to make it, along with my brother John and other family members. Mum is 96 years old now, but forever a rock chick, she totally enjoyed the show! John played flute on Firth of Fifth. It’s always lovely to have him join on stage.

We then headed up to Glasgow, which was as exciting as ever, with a totally fabulous crowd and band on top form… The shows of Manchester, Gateshead, York and Liverpool following on were equally explosive!

Jo and I had the chance to explore York again… Such a beautiful and atmospheric city. As you cross the river, you feel you’re entering a world of historic magic… And it was special to have Amanda again join us, this time for the last three shows!

Finally, we all travelled back South to play at the iconic Royal Albert Hall in   London. And what a wonderful climax to such an incredible tour… The crowd was ecstatic, Alec’s lighting was spectacular, Ben’s sound was amazing, and the band’s extraordinary playing and singing completely hit the roof!

Many thanks to the band and the whole team as well as Solo and Kilimanjaro and everyone involved for putting on one of the best tours ever!
