Travelling Through Time - Europe Spring 2025 Tour

It felt great to be back in beautiful Estonia...

On the day off, pals Peeter and Marite kindly took Jo and me to their home town of Haapsala, a fascinating place where we visited the impressive Medieval castle ruins and enjoyed a walk along the waterfront, where we saw old 19th century buildings with ornately carved wooden facades and a bench commemorating Tchaikovsky, as he had spent some time staying in the town, which apparently he had found inspiring.

The following day the two of us explored parts of the old town of Tallinn which we had not visited before. We love those old ramparts, battlements and turrets. The Russian Orthodox cathedral was beautiful, with its shining domes and ornate interior, seen through a haze of exotic smelling incense. We then had a snack lunch in an atmospheric cafe, where you sit in an underground Medieval vaulted cellar.

I enjoyed playing the show that night, and the band were as on fire as ever...

Following a day's travel, we arrived in Toruñ, Poland. On the day of the show, pals Roman and Julia showed us around this fascinating city, built within Medieval walls and proud to be the birthplace of Nicolaus Copernicus, an important figure in the Renaissance period who realised that the earth went around the sun.

Both the Toruñ and Gliwice shows went off like a rocket, with fantastic crowds!

It has been a joy to play in Estonia and Poland. We now look forward to the final leg of the tour in Germany and the Netherlands...

It was great to see our Polish promotor friends Piotr and Stefan again. My thanks to Brian, Adrian, Solo and all the promotors.
