Towers To The Skies

Jo, pal Dizzy and I travelled to Budapest, Hungary to make it in good time for rehearsals with Djabe, and it was great to see Attila and everyone. I appreciated the help once again with guitar and equipment, with thanks to Attila, Tamas and Zoli. Talented Icelandic drummer and percussionist Gulli Briem was with the Djabe guys too this time. It was special to join Attila, his wife Dora and daughter Sara at their house with some of the boys for a grill party. We always feel very welcomed by Attila and his family.

The two Budapest shows were great fun and went down a treat with enthusiastic audiences. We also had the chance to explore Budapest further. It is a spectacular city with the most beautiful domes and spires pointing up into those wonderful blue skies.

Finally, we travelled to ?akovec, Croatia, where we played to a fun crowd in a church near a Medieval themed festival replete with costumes, furs, horns and potions in the castle grounds where we were staying! Various festive celebrations combined here...
