The Past and Present show at the Islington Assembly Hall, London was special. It supported the charity Childline and heralded the release of the AA single Enter the Night / Til These Eyes, which link with both the wonder of childhood and the wisdom of hard earned experience.

What an audience! The ecstatic response to Firth of Fifth was extraordinary, and there was an amazing energy. An incredible spirit ran throughout all the songs and performance of that night. My thanks to all involved, including David Gulvin who suggested the concept, Freddy Palmer, John Brogan, Thomas Waber, Sharon Chevin, Brian Coles, Adrian Gibson, my brother John Hackett and all the band and crew. My special thanks as well to Jo for taking such care of everyone.
