The Freedom Trail and the Liberty Bell - October 2019

The drive down from Montreal took a while, but on arrival we felt the ghosts of Boston's past beckon... Our incredibly knowledgable and entertaining guide Jeremiah Poope took a group us on the Freedom Trail... High rise buildings seemed to fade for a while and quaint old houses came into focus as we stepped into the past, sensing all the turmoil of a new world fighting for freedom. The Boston gig that night rocked with a palpable excitement, and it felt like the ghosts had joined forces with the crowd!

Then on to the Big Apple itself! New York City was as vibey as ever, and the show there with a 2000 strong crowd was totally electric. Wonderful to play the Beacon again, with all those happy memories of Genesis and GTR...

From towering skyscrapers to the forests of Connecticut, the Ridgefield crowd's warm response along with the cosy turn back world hotel was all balm to the soul...

And so on to Philadelphia, where we were once again transported back to the past, celebrating birthdays of my wife Jo and our pal Deb at the 300 year old City Tavern with waiters in 17th century costume and walking over to check out the Liberty Bell, revered by slaves on the road to freedom.

Both Philly shows at the Keswick, Glenside took off like a rocket and we were all on fire! The gig at the haunted Munhall venue near Pittsburgh was equally wild, and I'm sure the spirits there were joining in.

And so now on to Cleveland and heading towards the Mid West...
