Wild Waters and Gothic Gateways - September 2019

Following a brief whirlwind rush of interviews in New York City, Jo and I flew up to Buffalo to join band and crew for the first North American show in North Tonawanda. Inside the Riviera Theatre there is a fascinating old Wurlitzer, which Roger had fun playing before the show. The audience was amazing...a fantastic start to the tour!

Then on to Ithaca, an atmospheric town in the midst of lakes and waterfalls which last time we were able to enjoy. This time was a swift visit, but the audience and vibe at the gig was wonderful...

We then embarked on the long journey by road up into Canada and on to Quebec City. Always a joy to be in that extraordinary historic place and to walk past the ramparts through the gateways into those picturesque narrow streets. A terrific spirit there and the band were well into their stride...

Following another long journey down to Ontario, the two Oakville shows went down a storm, as did Toronto. It was great to have a day off too in that spectacular region, giving Jo and me the chance to visit the Niagara Falls and the Rapids with pals. The Rapids had such power and the Falls looked extraordinary with a magnificent rainbow arching above.

Last stop in Canada, Montréal... What fantastic crowds at both shows! And Montréal is a great city too with such character, creativity and delicious food.

Canada has been incredible. Thank you all! We look forward to Vancouver in October! Special thanks as always too to all promotors and agents.

Now heading on to Boston to carry on with the US leg of the tour...
