Sunny Cities and Water Worlds

First stop in Argentina - Córdoba, largest Argentine city after Buenos Aires. Time there was for sure not lost! Jo and I explored its charming old streets, going back to early Spanish Colonial times. Along with band and crew, we were then treated to a fabulous meal... Great food in Argentina! The gig was a lot of fun with a lovely audience.

It was terrific to return to Buenos Aires, a particularly beautiful city with a European feel, proudly preserving old characterful buildings. Mind you, its exotic trees and birds remind you that you're in a totally different part of the world!

On the first night Ben Fenner, Jo and I were invited to a fabulous barbecue with pals from the band Genetics, who I played with last time I visited. It was good to connect. The following day, Jo and I joined other Argentinian friends for a wonderful, sunny boat ride up river towards the estuary.

The two gigs on consecutive nights were fabulous - the Buenos Aires crowds give tremendous warmth and appreciation...

We travelled through the Pampas to our last stop, Rosário, a major port on the Paraná River with an impressive National Flag monument to Argentina's independence. It's also Che Guevara's birthplace. We all explored the city before heading to the venue, a beautiful old theatre with ghost stories and a labyrinth of rooms, including a spooky cellar with some strange statues. The last Argentine show here again had a fantastic response...

Thank you amazing Argentina! I hope to return soon. Many thanks to the promotor and the whole team, in particular to Paula for her support, and as always to Adrian, Brian and Wayne. Now on to the magical land of Peru, where my band will play on 15th March for the first time...
