It always feels strange travelling straight from heat and palm trees to chilly wind and thick snow, but arriving in Quebec City is always a joy. At this time of year it's like a Winter Wonderland, with its snow-covered fairytale turrets, ice sculptures and frozen river. Everyone around us was enjoying the festive atmosphere, which continued into the night with sparkling lights and music.

The sell-out shows in both Quebec and Montreal had a terrific feel with extraordinary crowds! What a fantastic way to kick off the tour...

The Toronto show was equally strong, and I was thrilled to receive the most incredible guitar shaped birthday cake! My thanks for the other cakes and gifts... and to all the fans in both Montreal and Toronto too for the "Happy Birthday" serenade...

Always fab to play to the fun crowd in Gatineau too. Here the hotel, venue and casino overlooks a lake, now totally frozen over. Canada was magic as ever!

As I write, we're now in Staten Island, looking forward to the first show of the States leg of the tour...
