Dance on a Volcano! Band playing with Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra

Royal Oak show

From Grand Rapids through to Royal Oak and over the border to Oakville, Canada, we encountered one amazing crowd after another. We then travelled through the night back into the States, to ensure we didn't miss morning rehearsal with the Buffalo Symphony Orchestra at the beautiful Klienhans Music Hall, Buffalo.

It felt like magic, hearing the orchestra playing along with the band with their own special arrangements weaving through the songs and complementing our sounds. Strings, brass, woodwind, percussion... All the instruments enriched and highlighted all those songs, giving heightened emotional impact and power.

Band and orchestra playing in front of nearly 3000 people was a tremendously exciting experience. The end parts of Shadow of the Hierophant, Supper's Ready and The Musical Box were electrifying. Orchestra and band together soared as the crowd roared and everyone jumped to their feet. It was unforgettable... What an incredible way to end the North American tour!

My thanks to the whole orchestra and team, particularly Bradley Thachuk for all his hard work on the scores and his amazing conducting. As always thanks to all the band, team, Brian Coles and Wayne Forte, and everyone who came... Such an uplifting tour!
