Splash of colour in Times Square
We fastened our seat belts. From Ridgefield onwards for several shows, it was a race to the finishing post each day to make the next destination...
We always love the cosy Mark Twain feel of Ridgefield with the 150 year old hotel and wooden houses surrounded by the Connecticut forest, contrasting with the extraordinary concrete fortress of Manhattan, perpetually under siege from wailing sirens and screaming cab drivers. The ongoing circus of our American tour was well under way... There actually was a circus like environment at Westbury, where the stage was designed for performances in the round.
So far the shows are getting ever tighter. Every gig from Ridgefield, Westbury, Reading, New York and Boston through to Grand Rapids was extraordinary in its own way with terrific crowds. Again, Bruce Willis showed up at the New York gig. Every rolling show was full of old and new friends. It was like a rollercoaster ride through all the attractions of Pleasure Island...
Now a sprinkling of shows to go in Royal Oak, Oakville and with a final big orchestral splash in Buffalo, before returning home...
