Trading Boundaries Quartet - December 2016

Trading Boundaries gig

Trading Boundaries gig

It was heartwarming to play two dates at Trading Boundaries with an acoustic show over the weekend. I loved the intimate atmosphere, as if we were playing only to friends...

On the second night a power failure plunged the evening into blackout before the show was due to begin. The whole place sparkled in candlelight, which somehow added to the magical ambience the venue uncannily possesses. All was resolved in time for the gig...

It was the first time we'd worked as a quartet featuring two woodwind players, John Hackett and Rob Townsend playing off each other with their different but complimentary styles, plus Roger King working his own magic on keys. I'm still haunted by the special sound we all made together. A great vibe...

Special thanks to Michael Clifford and his hard working team who make every event so special.
