It felt great to fly into Seattle, beautiful bustling city with tranquil lakes between ocean and mountains. Between interviews and rehearsals some special pals who took Jo and me to see both the Hendrix statue and memorial where he's buried. That wild dynamic genius still inspires to this day and always will...

Both the Seattle and Portland shows had fantastic crowds and the band were instantly there in the moment at the top of their game.

A short plane ride away we reached San Francisco - colourful, dynamic and as full of variety as ever. A visit with friends via the iconic Golden Gate Bridge with fabulous panoramic views on to Muir Woods was special... That primeval forest of gigantic trees, which feels powerful as timeless gods, truly quickens the spirit.

It was great to catch up with pals at the San Francisco and LA shows, both equally thrilling. The West Coast changes a lot as you travel down from the temperate to the hot zone, but the vibe right the way down is wild, eclectic and welcoming. Terrific to be back!

And so on to Arizona... Following an exciting show at Scottsdale, now about to explore the magical realm of Sedona...
