It's been a bumper year for guitar solos. Fifteen billion notes clocked up on my patented fretometer designed to thwart any attempt to enter the hallowed portals of the Guinness Book of Records... Of course all snowed up for Christmas, personally I find that as little as two spoonfuls of custard is enough to render me totally unconscious so please don't ever recommend sherry trifle or I'll drive straight into a ditch. I'm sure trifle is banned along with custard in some countries on religious grounds.
Strange Yuletide practises aside, it's been a terrific year for gigs. I can't remember when I've had more fun on stage. Both regular and new recruits became a band, the band became a show and we're all the best of friends. It's been an event filled calendar - a new album, travels to exotic places with both my band and with Hungarian Djabe, and more besides... including toy trains in my Rupert Bear Christmas stocking!
I'm eagerly awaiting the futuristic sound of 2010 to boldly go where starships and steam trains await for us to board once more...
