In the hive - August 2016

I'm currently recording a wide range of instruments, some of which may be unfamiliar, such as the Peruvian charango. This sounds a little like a mandolin but slightly different with a high sweet pitch - the sound of rain forests meets rocky heights. I'm currently exploring it in an unusual way.
I'm going through a honeymoon period with the new album... Lots of love for the new stuff, exploring many sounds from around the world, from dreamscapes and personal experience, all mixed together to create new colours. There are tons of surprises - which I'm always looking for.
It feels like the same level of excitement I felt for Spectral Mornings as that was taking shape. I can't wait for it to be finished and hope it thrills you as much as the team of busy bees working in the hive to produce the freshest honey...
