It's been a wonderful tour of three countries over the last two weeks.

We first flew to Germany... The sell out Essen and Stuttgart shows were both amazing with fantastically enthusiastic crowds. The band were on top form and this time around it was great to have Amanda Lehmann performing with us too!

We then travelled on to what I feel is one of the spiritual homes of Prog, Loreley... Such a spectacular setting, on a cliff high above the Rhine river at the spot where in mythology the beautiful Loreley siren lured fishermen's boats on to the rocks. It was lovely to see everyone at the festival there in the theatre originally built by the Romans and later reconstructed. I originally played there with Genesis, the day the stage was set on fire... On this occasion we played our set into the night, without real flames but equally fiery with yet another amazing crowd! With many thanks to Winfried Völklein, Oliver Erlich, John Giddings and all the team...

We left the following morning for Italy. Check out Euro blog 2 coming up...
