Return to a World of Magic - January 2024

I thoroughly enjoyed the weekend of acoustic shows at Trading Boundaries in the verdant heart of East Sussex... The vibe in that special place was as magical as ever.

It was fun to do a harmonica guest spot for Amanda Lehmann's show on Friday. Although she was unwell, she sang and played beautifully and put on a great show.

My two gigs went well too and received a lovely crowd response. It felt great to perform once again an acoustic show alongside Roger King, Rob Townsend and my brother John. Each of them gave an amazing performance, playing with such fluidity and dexterity. Before the shows Richard Macphail entertained with his Genesis memories and terrific slide show.

On the second night I was really happy to have my Mum there and there was a wonderful, memorable moment when she spoke with such warmth and enthusiasm to the audience with her impromptu speech...

It was fabulous to see several family members and friends, plus all the people there in such a special intimate setting. A very big thank you to Michael Clifford, his partner Lou and everyone at Trading Boundaries for all their help and for making the whole weekend so enjoyable for us all.
