Classic Rock Society Awards - March 12
Oliver Wakeman with Steve receiving his award
It was an honour for me to receive the best guitarist award when Jo and I attended the CRS awards ceremony on 3rd March at the Montgomery Hall in Wath-Upon-Dearne near Rotherham. Strangely enough, Oliver Wakeman who presented it to me received a similar award from the CRS that I presented to him three years ago...
Several friends and familiar faces were there, including members of Magenta, Mostly Autumn and Pendragon, Nathalie and Mick Pointer, Martin Hudson and Steph and Dave Kennedy. It was also good to meet new friends such as Alan Reed, who last night with his band played a wonderful acoustic set with various instruments including twelve string guitars. It was great to be surrounded by so much talent and it was a really enjoyable evening.
My thanks to Miles Bartaby, the CRS and everyone who voted for me.
