On reaching St Louis, Jo and I had the chance to visit the massive Gateway Arch. There we took a ride in a sci-fi style pod to the top, where we had a stunning view of St Louis and the Mississippi River.

It was fascinating to drive from the plains of the Mississippi through to the beautiful forested Appalachian range and on to the fir lined lakes, before returning to the big skies of the Mid-West.

All the shows from St Louis through to Carmel, Cincinnati, Greensburgh, Akron, Detroit, Grand Rapids, Chicago and Minneapolis were amazing with band totally on fire and the most incredible crowds... The sell-out show in Chicago with everyone on their feet at the end felt like the most incredible gig ever!

Now on further West to Boulder and beyond...
